Just More Digging
For Indigo, I will explain that a projectile point is like an arrowhead, but generally is a more generic description. For example, projectile points include arrowheads, dart points, bird points, and atlatl points with the difference being the type of animal being hunted. A projectile point is also distinguished by the fact that it is diagnostic. The Humboldt point I found yesterday was used to hunt bigger game than an arrowhead and would generally be hafted slightly different.
Today, we continued with the dig and I was able to find a mano (a piece of sandstone used to grind seeds, grasses or cacti), an expended chert core fragment (a piece of flint used to create a tool), and a whole lot of sand. It was not that glamorous.
